Growing up in the Northwoods, has given me a mindset much bigger than the woods around us. The small town of Rhinelander is always a place that I can call home, and somewhere that I recognize like the back of my hand. Living in such a small town has opened my eyes to just how much each and every business, and person has kept this town a place I call home.
If I cannot change the entire world, I want to change the world around me and hopefully influence others with the simple message. Where I have found my ambitions to be headed is into starting my own business, a restaurant in specific. Not only is it what I want to do, it just feels right to do. Making amazing food easily accessible to my community, spark a smile, and filling bellies would change the world around us. My passion for cooking

I could not be more excited for the culinary course that I am enrolled in at Nicolet College, and how much is offered for me to learn. I have never been given the opportunity to work in a professional kitchen, and the thought of having all of the space to work and create edible masterpieces is unbelievable! When we get down to the business management, there is an incredible amount of learning to do on my behalf. Going through the Business Operations program is everything that I will need to know to get a start on a business of my very own. Knowing little to nothing about running a business, I could not be any more ready to take on this course and all of it’s glory. I will apply great diligence and prioritize this portion of my schooling. Along with the learning and preparation that I will be doing in college, I was offered the opportunity to work with local chef, Tom Jordens at his new restaurant, CT’s Deli.
