After two heart surgeries and trips to the Mayo, I chose to return back to school, fall 2014, while on approved leave; as today’s options permit for online studies. This allows for study during good time/days, and focus to my health on the bad one. By maximizing this time efficiently and effectively, it also allows me to become a more valuable employee with Delta, upon my return. I chose a Business major, Management emphasis, GPA 4.00, coming from years of business experience hands-on (10-years direct sales and training, 10-years managing construction business, and 7-years at Delta); my interests have always been in the direction of engaging with people, the fundamentals of business, and believe I excel here. I have a passion for working with people, engaging with colleagues, passengers, and management; these interests, plus experience doing so, will only increase for all’s long-term success by seeking to further my education. Upon returning full-time, with my degree, and acclimate back into the division, I aspire to attain a management position, one that will not only support the fantastic work environment, and the communities we live, work and serve, but one long-term that has a positive impact to the bottom line of Delta’s success economically, and especially socially, with Global Good efforts. At Delta, I was appointed, serving 3-years, on Delta’s Scholarship Fund Board of Directors, as well volunteer for Delta People Care Funds. I believe I have brought much to the Funds’ with my energies, and have much more to offer, with a degree and the knowledge it brings, for further success not only to the Funds and the Delta families, but to Delta as my premium career choice for now and for many years to
