Through out my life, I have aimed to acquire a diverse range of skills. While attending Canberra Girls Grammar, I have achieved opportunities to help others (Community Work), the ability to work as a team with others (Sports) and the capacity to set an example (Leadership).
Community Service is an integral part of working towards the betterment of the community. My parents have always believed that they should contribute to creating a better society. They taught me the importance of community service. I have been involved in a range of community projects such as Mary Mead and the Bengali Cultural Association. Through Mary Mead, I provided a safe environment for those in need by helping build a small house and also providing them food. Through the BCA, I volunteered at different community events and fundraisers. I learnt different ways to raise money for charitable projects, such as running food stalls, creating entertainment events and providing a good cause. The money raised went into donating to different charities and helping the community. Working with the BCA showed me the importance and the practical outcomes of raising money to help the community. Through these tasks, I felt rewarded that I was able to give back to others.

Playing sport has taught me more about team work, being organised and developing the skills needed to succeed. I have shown my attitudes to team work through playing sports, particularly in Soccer, Dragon Boating and Rowing. I learnt the importance of trust, communication and collaboration. I saw the success of working as a team when we won the Soccer Competition in 2016. With my Dragon Boating 2016 team, we went on to win gold at Nationals in Adelaide and New Zealand.
