What is the purpose of higher education mean? The purpose of higher education is to educate people with world-competitive skills and preparing people to be good human beings. (Education, 1998). Most people go to school so they can get a better job. We all want to be able to live comfortable with a little extra money. Getting a job with a better income is very important but as humans we realize that its more to getting an education than money. As a student I want to get all that I can. I want to be able to take what in learn in school and translate it to any employer or anyone else. Going back to school was a big step in my life. I chose to continue my education because I want to better myself, achieve my goals, and provide a financial stable environment for my family.
My first reason for me going back to school to earn my degree to better myself as a person. In high school I didn’t pay attention as I should, so I missed out on a lot of important information. Being back in school give me a second chance to learned what I missed out on and to learn new things. Regardless if it will help me in my future career or not. It’s still good to know as much as possible because you never know when it may come in handy. There are so many things I want to accomplish in life. But at same time I don’t know where to start. By going back to school I get to gain knowledge I need to start working on my goals.
