I live in a start-up culture. From my family's business, which started a year ago, to my network provider. Start-up culture is booming and it shows that the world is ready for a change. No more decades to start a business, no need to wait for the right opportunity to put an innovative idea out in the market. It motivates me that people are now accepting new technology and ideas faster than ever and this has led to greater globalisation. I believe this allows for more opinions and diversity, promoting the evolution of technology. It inspires me because it resonates with my view of the world, striving to be perfect but never reaching perfection. This combined with the global effort to accept new technology will allow me to interact with people across the globe and develop programs which would have a positive real life impact. I want to pursue computer science because it matches my aim to bring my knowledge of technology and science together. The goal of science is to explain and theorise, while the goal of technology is to make life simpler and provide the tools necessary to collecting scientific data. With the concept of artificial intelligence, we can automate the process of data collection and focus on finding patterns within that data. My higher-level subjects allow me to gain and use scientific knowledge and my standard level subjects improve my communication and business abilities.
