My goals and values in life are very important to me. With them I hope to explore Physics in new avant-garde way. As well as explore places with a certain je ne sais quoi to better define the artistic part of myself. I have come from an environment where I have had to rely on myself mainly for motivation. Of course there is beauty and strength even in the most dirtiest crevices of society. It is from here that I gain an external confidence and motivation to pursue the things I do. My five main values are originality, achievement, adventure, setting and recognition. Each one represents either a part of the environment I want to hold on to, or one which I never could truly find. Originality is important to the work I conduct. Being able to …show more content…

This is something I'm interested in because not only do I want to be adventurous in my field of study, but also in the physical world. To take risk is one of the most fascinating ways to discover new phenomenon. Sure now in days thought experiments have become a major factor in theoretical works (popularized by Einstein). Yet, to discover something by interacting with nature is pure majesty. Yet, even if the adventure is in the mind it still may have a heavy impact on Physics. Setting is the environment where I am completing my work. For myself, this means being able to connect with nature ( mountains woods and other scenic places) as well as city landscapes on a regular basis. This is important because these things are beautiful, and I do not want to succumb to the ordinary stuffy lab. Yet, being more on the theory side of Physics, I believe I will be able to work in a multitude of settings that will be able to set my mood into a more motivative …show more content…

My natural curiosity, will to discover and create will probably drive everything I do. Of course I have external sources of hope and faith, but I have not really intertwined that with the things I do. One day I do hope to allow others to motivate me (extrinsic) as well as myself. I believe this will truly be able to push me to new heights. Most of my motivation has come from school, where accomplishing certain goals to a certain degree of quality as well as quantity has left me feeling that this is something I want to continue to explore. Also, as I continue to grow, I see the different possibilities from a more realistic perspective. It is interesting. I feel that most people's delusions are busted by finding the real way things are done in their profession. Yet, Physics continues to throw new concepts at me that are still waiting to be tested and applied to the real world. This keeps my interest peeked, and helps me fight through the times I feel like giving
