The medical field has many opportunities and different jobs. You can be anything in the medical field. Pediatric nursing is one of the jobs in the medical field. Pediatric nursing is a nurse that works with children. These nurses mostly take care infants to adolescents. Pediatric nursing comes with a lot of challenges to get in the medical field and more when you actually become certified. I’ve been interested in this job for a good 5 years. I’m wanting to help children to the best of my ability.
Pediatric nursing isn’t the easiest job; these nurses work so many different hours. Nurses work nights, weekends, and sometimes even work holidays for more money. They work in many different environments, some work in hospitals, health care offices, and even little self-owned businesses. Pediatric nurses make sure to educate patients, patients parent and/or guardian, and also the public about health conditions. (BLS.) These practioners have many things to perform in a daily work schedule. Pediatric nurses are there to try to prevent injures, and breakouts of illness and diseases. In the medical field they always make sure you have the right material and know how to use the equipment. Advancements for pediatric nurse come in many different ways. You can become an advanced practiced nurse, (APN), but for this you must be chosen by your state board. (allnursing). Ever nurse has to advance their education even if they aren’t advancing positions. The education of nurses change all the time so they have to always stay up to date. Since not all pediatric nursing advance to another higher paying job, they may stay in that position.
