“When I think about all the patient and their loved ones that I have worked on with over years, I know most of them don’t remember me nor I them, but I do know that I gave a little piece of myself to each of them and they to me and those threads make up the beautiful tapestry in my mind that’s my career in nursing.” By this I hope that by the end of the day, that the people I helped feel good and are happy, just I as I will for getting to help someone that needed it. Everyone says that they get into the nursing school, in order to get more money or because it “pays good”. What I honestly think if you just get in to nursing just for the “money” you’re going to hate it. They can start to become mislabel, mad all the time. So they just hate going to work and doing whatever it is they have to do. The way I see it if you don’t love what you do with your life then you become an unhappy person, and live a horrible life. Like I feel when you become a nurse you should want to actually help people and care for them. Yes, the money is great but what should really make you want to go to work is not the money, but the people that need you. Being a nurse is so much more than just a paycheck, it is about helping change people’s live for the better. It should make you great for what it is that you are doing for others, without even knowing them.
