Personal Statement: A Career As A Warrant Officer

The role of the military officer has been written about many times over the years. This topic is rich with complexity and often placed into a professional context or personal account. I would like to share my personal view of what my role is as a military officer. To start, I am writing to express why I want to become a Warrant Officer. Additionally, what I believe society expect from me as a military officer. Finally, what I believe are my responsibilities after being appointed
My passion and desire for becoming a Warrant Officer date back very early in my career. I remember vividly my first experiences with these very skilled yet unconventional officers. I recall that feeling of wanting to be one of them. Simply put, I wanted to be the best and this in my mind could only be found as Warrant Officer. Warrants are known for their mastery of their craft and unmatched adaptability. After witnessing this first hand I was sold. These specialized officers placed a solid desire for me to be the best version of myself and to earn selection within their ranks. With my purpose and passion strongly solidified I focused many years of hard work and dedication so I too would be selected as a Warrant Officer in our great Army. Society expects nothing less than competence and confident experts. I acknowledge that I must uphold the honor of this position with strong moral and ethical character. That commitment must be without fault or damage to the credibility of our Army or Cohort; that all officer must uphold this obligation to never lose this special trust and confidence given to us by our nation and fellow Soldiers. We must be mindful and never become complacent in our duties or risk losing this sacred
