Personal Statement: Alpha Fraternity Inc.

I’ve always wanted to be an Alpha man since 2007 when my 7th grade teacher Micholas Credle began the branding of the Alpha image. It all started from Greek alphabet to my own personal research of the organization. Receiving the knowledge of this organization only made it clear to me that from that moment forward I knew I wanted to be an Alpha man. The meaning behind the organization, its past, present, and the future plans on making the organization better. As a son, a brother and an uncle I feel as though it’s our duty to empower one another inspire one another and love one another. I feel as though these are values that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. envisions for its future members, to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. I’m taking the oath of commitment to join a brotherhood for the rest of my life not only for college years. I want to take this opportunity and its advantages to help others just like me to show them that anything is possible.

Holding myself to such a high standard allows me to achieve more; by which I am molding myself into a sophisticated man. I have overcome many obstacles in my life to get to where I am today due to how we live in a society that is constantly judging and scrutinizing every decision we make. Therefore, I believe if you set yourself on the right path in life anything is obtainable. One of my highest achievements is that I am a proud Culinary graduate of Johnson & Wales University; a degree candidate of Bachelor of Science, Business Studies in the winter of 2018.
