When you’re the captain of your own ship, you are much more fully invested in the direction your heading. Finding meaning to your job creates passion and a path to success when you want to learn from it by making it satisfying. It’s like a mentor that will guide you towards your career path. However, for some of us it might work and for others it won't. People who don’t have a passion for their work are more likely to be in there job because they're in need of a check that will help to supply their needs which makes them see it as a normal thing not realizing they have created a comfort zone. I am a current employee of a community clinic in the San Diego area where I had the opportunity to learn from peers who helped me find value toward my working adaptations. At the clinic we work with different types of populations were we provide different type of resources and services that will help them with their needs. I find value in what I do when I provide any type of useful resources or services to our patients. It makes me feel motivated, and enthusiastic since I try to do the best I can because it’s something I have a passion for. Therefore, I can relate in not having the same mentality as other co-workers. I’ve witnessed that some of my co-workers don’t have the same value and passion as I do when it comes to interacting with patients. As a social worker student I have discovered a passion for my work. It’s what I do that make me feel grateful for what I have learned from other peers and for what I have accomplished throughout time. This is why it very important to create an environment that will bring happiness to all aspects of your life, through the things you’ve have acquire. I’ve been an employee for the clinic for the past four years. I started working as a patient representative, but I always new that it was not a position where I wanted to stay. I consider myself a hard working individual who always determines to learn and grow. I’ve found that if you want your work to be more than a job and instead a positive force in your life, you need to believe in your potentials. No matter how hard and difficult the obstacles are, you have to have in mind to grow whenever there’s an opportunity. Even though, some people make bad choices of being so negative about their current jobs there are other people who have a passion for their current job. It is the meaning of having “an emotion that comes from within you. It is your enthusiasm, your zeal, your drive and your motivation.” As a result your peers will acknowledge your work and learn from you as they see you succeed. It’s like transforming the bad to knowledgeable outcomes, and your enthusiasm by creating an environment with positive reinforcement that will motivate you to succeed, which will lead you down to a successful
