Personal Statement

Everyone is different in their own ways. There are students that will be graduating soon, some just starting college, and some students that are in the process of finding an internship opportunity for either summer or spring. For me, I am currently a sophomore at the GWSB. One of my proudest moments of my college so far was when I declared my major. I actually made my decision 2 weeks ago when I sent out an email to my advisor that I was declaring my major to Bachelors of Accountancy. This process was grueling and truly a difficult time for me. There were a lot of factors that I had to consider before declaring my major. However, my case is completely different. I have a positive mindset that I know I will be able to find myself a job/internship in the future. By putting in the hard work will result in success in the future. I see myself working for a top accounting firm in the next 3 years. My goal is to work for a big 4 company down the road after graduation. I know this path won’t be easy but with hard work and dedication, I truly believe that my goal will be accomplished. Hard work ethic is emphasized everywhere in job postings. Some might interpret this skill as a cliché skill that everyone should have before coming into work. Yet, people are lazy and not willing to put extra work to bring success. The most accomplished people are the ones that gave their 120% into what they are passionate about. My goal is to bring the hard-work ethic and the open-minded attitude into the working environment in the future. These qualities relate to my leadership ability because with these traits I am able to be a leader in both classroom atmosphere and outside in working environment. Although the road to big 4 will be tough, I know that my destiny is in my hands. I am ready to give 120% into everything that I do and I have the desire to accomplish my goal in the
