Personal statement
What is the world of business to me? I believe it is an ever growing organism with jobs being created almost every day. The ability to keep up with the demand of the increasing fast paced business world is an ability only few possess. I don’t claim to have the ability just yet but I believe that what I possess is an aptitude to adapt to any situation, that my talent is the ability to learn and influence situations with my ideas and my knowledge. I have always known that I wanted to be an entrepreneur and a leader; from a very early age I knew that my mind worked in a different way from others, that I can assess any situation and deliberate what the problem was and what pathways must be undertaken to fix it.

I was chosen for my team's Coaches player of the year, twice at the Croydon Hurricanes Rugby league squad. Not only does my passion lie in sport but also in music, I have a huge range of music tastes as I play the saxophone and the guitar. I can spend my leisure time listening from heavy metal artists to spending an evening listening to the sensual Jazz music of John Coltrane. My extracurricular activities do not stop here. I have always wanted to help people, this is a passion of mine and I have always put myself in position where I can help from teaching disable children how to play table tennis with my school, to being elected as student rep at my current college by my class peers. This put me in a position where I believe, I could help make a change into the daily lives of all the students and make it an enjoyable experience to actually enjoy going to college. I hope to further this into my life at university and join the student union and make a difference. I am a part of John Ruskin College's ‘The student Partnership’: a council of students who are future leaders setting examples, guiding and listening to the problems of fellow students to make a better college experience. I have also learnt from experience where I have not been successful; I ran for the student president coming close to gaining the role but unfortunately I did not receive the position, despite not winning, from this campaigning experience I developed my presentation and communication skills and furthered my ambition to study business at university and develop the acumen and knowledge to be successful in the
