As a child I grew up in an active environment. From the age of two I was taken to my first dance class, as I grew up I remember vividly the freedom and love that came from regular dance classes and physical activity. This continued into my school life as I used to find other subjects challenging and I would often revert into my shell. However I excelled at sports and became more social, physical and confident. Major factors in this development were my P.E. teachers’ who through their own passion and enthusiasm inspired me to teach and encourage young children the way they did for me. I believe that P.E. is an essential component of a child’s education because of its advantages for children’s personal wellbeing. I would love to become a teacher because I enjoy using the knowledge and experiences I have gained to proactively help younger people develop their skills using a creative and unique methods. The education of children and young adults has always been of great importance to me and I maintain a passionate enthusiasm toward teaching. Communication is an essential skill in teaching. Using my communication skills effectively with both pupils and staff I have been able to assist with their personal development adopting a range of learning techniques including; practical demonstrations, team building exercises and one on one support. I am able to work both independently and as part of a large team providing emotional support, listening empathically and working co-operatively with staff and pupils. Employers have noted my time management, organizational skills as well as my reliability and enthusiasm. I am able to use my own initiative to take on responsibilities related to my role such as helping with other subject departments and organising school events, displaying flexibility with my job
