My goal is to learn as much as I can about interacting and working with others in a learning environment so that I can employ the interpersonal skills I gain in the workforce upon graduation. After all, one can have all the technical ability in the world and find themselves lacking if they cannot then leverage and share their understanding with others. I attend college to prove to future employers I am serious about my field of study and dedicated to doing excellent work. A bachelor’s degree would prove not only that I know my field thoroughly, but also that I am willing to put in the work to improve my abilities constantly. It began as a simple curiosity about how computers operated, and unfolded into a continuing desire to learn about every aspect of computing technology. I continue to grow this desire through my ongoing work in the Information Technology industry, which has presented me with a vast number of educational opportunities well suited to this learning desire. A vast thirst for knowledge is the perfect complement to an ever-evolving field of study. Once I graduate, I hope to bring my skills into all aspects of the technology world, and to leave a lasting mark on as many of its branches as possible. Computer science is such a broad community that the options only continue to grow daily. I look forward to contributing to anything from creating video games with game designers across the globe, to helping keep data secure in information security.
