I do not mean to suggest that engineering can do without science, on the contrary, it stands on scientific foundations, but there is a big gap between scientific research and the engineering product which has to be bridged by the art of the engineer”

I still remember the day I witnessed the scaled models of famous civil structures in the annual science and technology festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, 6 years ago. Its mammoth machinery and structures interested me a lot. I think that the best way to foretell the future is to work for it. With this understanding, I always framed and rendered my life towards predetermined goals. I got enrolled in Bachelors of engineering program in civil engineering in C. K. Pithawalla College of Engineering & Technology, Surat which is rated among one of the best engineering colleges in Gujarat, India.

Once I secured admission in one of the most contentious and meticulous civil engineering programs in India, I found civil engineering even more compelling and demanding than what I had thought of it. Right from the second year, my objective was to gain knowledge and understand the subject thoroughly rather than just scoring grades. I was unable to score decent grades till my 4th semester but then once I understood my goal, I scored and improved with huge margin from third year.
