Members of the committee educate chapter members about how to make the most of the academic resources on campus and serve as mentors for members who may require additional assistance. The members of the Academic Excellence Committee are supported by their local adviser and the District Academic Excellence Specialist.
We recognize the financial commitment it takes to receive a college education, and we want to help ease the financial burden. The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate members. The first Kappa Kappa Gamma scholarship was established in 1902 with $100. This year, the Foundation is awarding scholarships totaling $581,190, a 10 percent increase from the previous year. This continued growth in scholarship awards is a testament to our commitment to furthering members’ academic achievements.
For every new chapter colonized, the Foundation establishes a one-time scholarship and awards it to a member of the charter class. This is a legacy that we hope future alumnae of the new chapter will build upon.
