I am currently working as an LPN rooming patients in an OB/GYN clinic. My job includes taking vitals, updating medical records as necessary, preparing exam rooms for the providers, administering injections and medications per order, and recording signs and symptoms for the providers. I work along side the providers and midwives assisting with procedures. I place OB patients on the non-stress testing machines and educate patients on topics such as breastfeeding, maintaining a healthy pregnancy, etc. Working here, I 've been able to witness many situations that drive me to want to succeed as a doctor, such as being able to assist patients who are in active labor or empowering patients to take better care of their health.

I was born in Columbia South Carolina. I joined the Army in April 2009 and attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Ft Jackson, SC. After BCT, I attended Advance Individual Training (AIT) at Ft. Lee, Virginia. Shortly after AIT I was sent to Fort Benning, Georgia for Airborne school. During my career served as a Supply Clerk as well as a Supply Sergeant.

As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. Let me just start off by saying that Amazon has made reading books cool again and Goodreads is that book club that we all wish we could have in the comfort of our homes. I want to be part of that Global Network of friends who can discuss, recommend books and share the journey that a book can provide. I have several years of experience in support roles that range from retail, to front end, to back office technical support. These are all skills that I have acquired through my curious mind and my willing-to-try-everything attitude. Fashion is my method of self-expression. The clothes we choose to wear gives us control over how others perceive us and affects how we feel about ourselves. From wearing black at the Golden Globes in support of the Time’s Up movement to the traditional Chinese Qi Pao, clothes can show solidarity without words or act as a way for us to connect to our cultural heritage. This is why fashion is important to me, because it allows me to tell a story about who I am and who I aspire to be. I have chosen to further my Management studies at the London College of Fashion because the MA Fashion Design Management covers themes essential for managing a successful fashion brand, which has always been a dream of mine.
