“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together” (A quote by Marilyn Monroe). One night I was hanging out with my friend. We were talking about life and then she asked me about school, how long I have left there, what’s my major, and what I would like to do with it.
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
The reason I started volunteering was to experience what actually happens in the day to day lives of doctors. I wanted a better understanding of what being a doctor truly means. Being able to see all the action from the sidelines, but know you are helping that whole facility out

The AVID program has had a positive impact in my academics, and in my life by helping me focus, enrich, and solidify my goals. I can say with full confidence that AVID has become an integral part of my High School year that equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in college. Personality wise, there are major changes that I observed once I joined the program.
UC Personal Statement Prompt #1: Family is Everything If you don’t wake up every morning wanting to be the best, then you should just stay in bed. Becoming a successful person is formed by hard work and the people I love have shaped the future for me. Since my family has taught me that change can be certain and radical in adjusting lives, I would like to hold that capacity sometime in the future. I look for the ability to enhance my life and additionally the lives of everyone around me.
Hi Journey Group! If you know me at all, you absolutely know that I crave new experiences and love to share them. This year, I have begun new adventures… from beginning a new job, to becoming the first African-American female Publisher in Charlotte, to fulfilling a life-long dream of writing and publishing a book. We all have connected at different points in my life, and by far, this is the most exciting time for me that I’ve had in a very long time.
I also love helping that uncertain student through the challenges of the decisions they face. I have worked with so many school administrators who had different leadership styles. One of them was good for inspiring and motivation

I am applying for the Research Analyst position at Business Insider in New York City, an opening I learned of through LinkedIn’s explore page. I am applying because I am drawn to Business Insider’s storied success in the data-driven business news space, and specifically with its application of innovative research to offer their users a competitive, meaningful edge. As I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics and philosophy at Pace University, I believe my divergent studies and experience offer a unique, applicable perspective towards data analysis and research. Economics helps me analyze and interpret data, and provides the tools to produce pragmatic solutions. For my economic thesis, I analyzed The Effect Terrorism and Refugee Populations have on Western European Tourism Revenue, and it was because of the skills I learned in my economics courses that I could grasp previous literature, choose acute variables for my equations, and interpret my results.
Through my studies of human expression and its reflection of how people deal with world events in different ways, I developed sensitivity to other worldviews that continues to prove useful through my daily interactions with people of different backgrounds. I have learned that just like art, medicine involves pattern recognition and derives insight from experiences. Similarly, what I especially enjoy about being a medical assistant is interacting with patients on a daily basis and getting to be a part of their medical experiences, even if it is just by lending an ear. The experiences on my path to a career in medicine have made me want to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of those around me – a difference that leaves my patients in a better condition than they were in before I met them.
This experience consumed a majority of my time during the months of practice, and allowed me to form a bond with many families that
