Personal Statement: My Senior Project Proposal

September 12, 2016 : I have started to plan out my senior Project Proposal and I am hoping to soon figure out who I can contact to mentor and help guide me throughout the project. October 2, 2016 : I’ve been thinking about my senior project and if I still want to proceed with my original idea of learning to play the electric guitar. I’m worried about not finding a mentor and I’m very nervous about actually meeting up with someone I’ve never met before. Some other senior project ideas I had were photography and editing using lightroom, snowboarding, skateboarding, cooking and a couple others. In fact, I haven’t even looked for one, but I know I better start finding one soon. I want to start my senior project process already, but I don’t know where or how to start. I’m going to ask Mr. Biggs and Mrs. Regalia for some help. I’m sure they can help me find someone to mentor me. November 3, 2016 : I’ve gotten a couple of resources to help me out with my senior project. I’ve tried practicing a bit, but it’s just not happening. I’m having a hard time learning by myself, but I’m hoping that my mentor, once I find one, will really help me understand how to play the electric guitar. I’m planning to start looking for a mentor myself before I talk to Mr.Biggs and Mrs.Regalia for help. November 7, 2016 : I feel like I’ve been procrastinating about senior project. I’ve been wanting to get started, but I’m slacking and I’m started to feel stressed because I feel like I have a lot of other priorities to do. Regalia for some help finding connections for my senior project. I let her know what I was planning to do and she gave me some advice and recommendations. She let me know that one of my peer’s dad plays guitar. She also let me know about some other people that could possibly help me. January 21, 2017: I told my mom that I’ve been struggling with finding a mentor to help me play the electric guitar. She said she knew a friend, who’s dad plays. I asked if she can ask for me, but he hasn’t replied to any of our messages. February 15 2017: I tried to contact some other potential mentors and the other recommendations people have given me, but they haven’t responded to my email. I’m going to wait it out and see if they will contact me later. March 10, 2017: After a couple times of trying to contact someone to mentor me I finally decided to ask one of my good teachers Mr. Paisley if he would mentor me. He agreed and we made plans to meet during school. I am happy that he agreed to be my electric guitar mentor and I’m excited to learn from
