Personal Statement
When I was little I always thought I would know what I wanted to do post college by high school. Yet, here I am still unsettled on a career which I would like to pursue. I realize that one should have a number of careers and majors lined up in order. I do have some options which I plan to thoroughly pursue. I have set goals that I plan to accomplish and excel at.
My family has always been a driving force that has shaped me to who I am today. The number of siblings I have, which is five, has pushed me to become more driven and open. I set goals and accomplish them usually in contest with my siblings. I want to be able to enjoy what I do post college and be able to excel at it. Throughout my high school career, I have made As and maybe a couple Bs and I plan to continue this pattern in college. I have had the privilege of being a participant in the BETA club, HOSA, FFA, FCA, and Honor Society. These clubs have given me opportunities to force me to learn new things about myself, such as eliminating job options that do not suit me and learning of my strengths. I have had few hardships in my pursuit of academics, although I did have opposition when I wanted to be a veterinarian. I was very determined to excel at my job and I was willing to work hard in school to really prove them wrong and be able to really learn all of the aspects I had to learn. Despite this, I had many people who thought that I could not get into the limited schools that have veterinary science programs. These people tried frequently to talk me out of it and to do something easier and less competitive. However, I was willing to overcome this opposition until I recently learned that I do not want to be a veterinarian. I do have some other options
