I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
I took all the sciences I could, eventually majoring in Biochemistry in college to understand the workings of the body. I always thought I wanted to be a pathologist. I was aware of pathology assistants but was unaware of what their job entailed. In my junior year of undergrad, I was fortunate enough to find out that my college worked with a teaching hospital, Montefiore Medical Center. Through them, I was able to obtain an internship in the Surgical
If I could have any career, I would want to be a Trauma Surgeon. I choose this career because I am fascinated by the human body and its functions. I had found this interest when I was a freshman in high school. My sports medicine teacher taught me the the good that the human body contains and what all it can accomplish. So I signed up to be in an athletic training program and help athletes injured.
Medical Assisting Being a wife and mother of three; I decided that I would return to school to better myself and my family. Mostly to get out and be around people and to help in my community. When researching about medical assisting the article informed me about the future jobs and pay of medical assistants. Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, podiatrist, chiropractors and other health practitioners. Medical assistant duties vary within location, specialty and size of the practice.
In third grade, I was assigned to create a project illustrating what I wanted to be when I grew up. At this time, due to my positive experiences with doctors and my desire to help others, especially children, I decided to describe the role of a pediatrician as my future career. Throughout my childhood, whenever asked about my future aspirations, I confidently declared that I would attend medical school and become a pediatrician. However, as I developed, the answer to this question slowly began to evolve as I gained a deeper understanding of my values and the people I desired to serve through medicine.
In the future, I would like to become a medical assistant. This career seems to be a perfect match for me because I have been an EMT for 16 years. I have always had a passion for helping people in their time of need, ever since I was a little kid. I would be the person out on the playground trying to help others, when they got hurt. I would be the kid when the fire department came to the school, for a public relations event, that would be right in the middle of them asking questions.

I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. We see the process of aging and choose not to embrace it.
I come from a country that has always been declared as an emergency response country with high levels of disease transmission, poverty, and undernourishment. At a young age I have witnessed first-hand the impact of low quality healthcare, when I lost several family members and family friends in Sudan due to preventable diseases like malaria and typhoid and chronic diseases like diabetes. Moving back to the United States as a child made me aware of my privilege at a young age and I became passionate about helping those who do not have the same opportunities as me. As a result of my personal experiences, I aspired to pursue a career in medicine because I wanted to be part of improving the health of others, especially those who have the least access to it.
My mom was a nurse in my country and she used to bring me to the hospital to spend time there. I have always been so fascinated and excited with what my mom had to say about her day at the hospital and I enjoyed the times she took me there. As I grew up and learned more about science and what being a doctor meant, I fell even more deeply in love with the profession.
I remember sitting in my sixth grade science class, listening intently to my teacher talk about our career day project we had due the next few weeks. When she told us that we could choose anything, my mind when directly to the medical field. I wasn’t sure what career I exactly wanted to go into but I know the medical field was a good start. I plan to apply early at the University of Michigan and major in biology at the College of Literature, Science and Art.
Keep in mind some goals might not be possible and that everyone can reach their goals in life. Nursing is a career in which not all goals are attainable, not all success mearurable, and not all outcomes predictable, but each small step toward these achievements brings new hope and healing. Also if i set my goals too high I will be disappointed If I cant reach them appropriately, so don’t be too greedy and make sure whatever my goals is, that deep down inside, that is I really want and always ask guidance from
