I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do when I graduate high school. I believe I have come to a final decision. I am going to be a heavy diesel technician. This line of work interests me because I have been in a diesel truck since I was around three years old. My dad is a truck driver and he used to own a few trucks that I had to help work on, and I just fell completely in love.
Do you remember in kindergarten when the teacher would ask the class what they wanted to be when they grew up? The answers usually consisted of firemen, doctors, princesses, cowboys, or an astronaut. Then there was always the teacher’s pet who of course said they wanted to be a teacher (typical). Well college is a lot like kindergarten. Your advisor asks you,” what do you want to do with your life after college”, but this time the answers don’t come as easily.

However, the four pillars of Purdue University’s Honors College are, to an extent, already instilled within my character. I am certain that with being an Honors student in the future, I will be living a life only possible through cultivating my already existing character traits into columns to support not only my education, but my life after college. While always being a scholar, my post-academic life, as I see it, will contain a career that is constantly challenging and evolving. Cybersecurity, my current course of study, mirrors these values.

Personal Statement Admissions for Ed. S. Education Administration Passion, pride, and confidence are three words I would use to describe my educational journey. I come from a long line of educators and have the desire to help others ingrained in my soul. The journey of life is enriched by being a lifelong learner- something I challenge myself with daily- learning more, doing more, and being more. Acceptance into the Ed.
Personal Statement This quote is one I am very fond of and came across while in my undergrad studies. I was taking an interpersonal skills course and that is where I really stated to take on a different perspective of if I am really going to help others I have to have a greater understanding of myself. Looking at how I approached and handled situations was one way I assessed myself and what I could do differently. The course forced me to reflect on my life, and at the moment I felt that for the age I was I was doing everything a young lady should be, attending school to further my education, working part-time to help my parents cover my financial cost, not acting irresponsible, and helping others when I could.
