To the community and my high school, I’m seen as a great role model and the ideal student. In Pre-K, at Pines Elementary School in Plymouth, NC, I excelled and exceeded my work and was able to move up a grade (Kindergarten). At that very moment, I knew I was a very intelligent and unique girl, I was smarter than average, and I had a gift. Since that moment, I graduated from Washington County Union Middle School (Roper, NC) as salutatorian of my class and I’m currently salutatorian of my class at Plymouth High School (Plymouth, NC). I am involved in many clubs and organizations at my school in which I run top positions as vice president or captain. These are just examples that can justify the reason of why I deserve this scholarship.

By receiving this scholarship, I know my hard work has paid off. It’s been numerous nights where I haven’t gotten sleep or may have went to sleep at 3:30 am to only wake up at 6:45am to go to school. I stayed up these numerous nights studying, doing homework, and trying to beat deadlines. Determination is a skill that’s just instilled in me that drives me to go harder everyday. I strive to be better or on the top in anything I do. It may be other applicants that are just as smart and skilled as me, but I promise there isn’t anyone who wants it more than I do who will take the money and use it just for more than college. Not only would it help me in my career, but it will show me that someone had enough favor in me to give me this great opportunity. After I graduate from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), I plan on coming back to the small town of Plymouth, NC and give back to my community. I see so much potential in my hometown that can be made, but we just lack the resources.
