I strongly believe that Appomattox Regional Governor’s School is going to improve my writing. I want more of an education in my focus area, literary arts, and in my academics. I think that Appomattox Regional Governor’s School is the best school to fulfill what I expect is going to be best my future. I hope to have experiences that will change my life and future. I have high hope and strong determination to accomplish my dreams of being a creative writer.
This project taught me multiple life lessons. These lessons included concepts such as communication skills, detailed planning, leadership, and vital importance of keeping a commitment. My Eagle Scout Project has given me experiences, and vital practice with skills that most seventeen-year old’s do not receive until later in life. The project has helped me grow and mature as a person. Working through this project has provided me with experiences with managerial responsibilities that I can use later in my life.
In the persuasive article “Why Teens Are Getting Shut Out of the Workforce”, Andrew Soergel argues that teens are not holding a job because the elders are not moving up and the teens college enrollment rate is very high. A research shows that there is nearly 40 percent decline in the employment rate among 16-19 years old over the last 12 years. This is the lowest rate since World War II. There must be some reasons that makes the teens employment rate extremely low. A report also noted that people who work at a young age are more likely to earn more money.

I am a bit of an introvert at first, and by pushing myself to aim high, this pushes me out of my comfort zone into unfamiliar territory. This can teach me to strengthen my conversation skills and my ability to socialize others. I will grow as a student by constantly reinventing and strengthening my beliefs and values. I will grow as a leader by improving my leadership skills and constantly practice them throughout the school year.

Hello Everyone. I am looking forward to getting my degree and working as an parole officer in the state of Texas. This has always interested me since I was working in a jail some years back. I would see parole officers come in and some would actually talk to us about going to school and becoming parole officers.
