Imagine being in a pool party drinking and having fun with your friends. By the time it got late, you decide to leave, but your light head and blurry sight couldn’t lead your steps to the exit. Instead, your foot almost slipped by the pool edge when a hand caught your shoulder and pulled you back. This is when your friends call a cab to ride you home realizing the danger of having you driving while intoxicated can risk not only your life, but lives of others on the road. This is an example of how serious intoxication can be, it has become a major problem in many global societies today. According to the World Health Organization, alcoholism is the third main cause of death and disability worldwide and the major cause of death among teens and young adults. Yet, the problem is not exclusive to drivers and driving only. In fact, anyone can go under the influence of excessive drinking, family members, students, employees...etc., they can all either be vulnerable victims or direct attributers to tragic incidents and intensive violence. This verify only one thing, that generally, drinking is the actual problem here. It is evident that alcohol had taken a major part in almost all mankind cultures since early ages. All societies, with no exemption, uses alcohol for different purposes varying between medication, social activities and religious rituals. However, one can pause for a moment and think that alcohol drinking must be of great adaptive virtue to be used worldwide so persistently, but why do people from different societies behave differently when they drink?
