Challenges bring out things in us that we never knew about. Also during the dark times is when who we are could shine through. Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Thomas Edison, Johnny Depp; people who struggled to be who they are. Our society loves to hear about people who struggled and went through hardships to be who they are. But would these people be who they are without these adversities and hardships? It could be argued that it is definitely possible, However, I agree with the Roman poet Horace that adversities could help arise the talents and great powers from the normal person. Thomas Edison was the inventor of the first light bulb. In his initial years, teachers and friends referred to Edison as "too dumb" and unable to learn. In the beginning getting a job wasn't easy or successful for him, as he was kicked out from his initial two employments for not being sufficiently beneficial or helpful. Indeed, even though he was an inventor, Edison made 1,000 disastrous endeavors at designing the first light bulb. Obviously, each one of those unsuccessful endeavors finally brought the configuration that worked and that he is known for now. Drawing closer the attention of the general public in the early years and letting them know that they can now fly to places isn't as simple as it sounds. The Wright brothers did it; not effectively at everything, however they experienced all of their adversities and they did it. These brothers struggled with sadness,wretchedness and family sickness and breakdown, before beginning the bike shop that eventually made them start exploring different avenues regarding flights.
