Covergirl’s Advertising Campaign Women all over the world wear makeup all for many different reasons. Some women can’t even leave the house without it. A popular and well-known brand of makeup, Covergirl, uses young and beautiful women that are always smiling and having a good time in their commercials. These advertisements target women to buy their products. These advertisements send a message to women that their makeup will make them more beautiful and therefore happier. I don’t believe this, makeup alone is not going to make you happier in life. Beauty may aid in making a person happy, but materialism is not a concrete factor to base happiness from. I will prove that materialism will not make you happy and how the advertisements may actually create negative effects with research I have find from professionals. John F.
