Engineering babies have been a controversial topic because some people believe that when you are having a child, you are simply choosing to pass down your traits or DNA to your kid. Nothing too complex about that. But since technology is rapidly increasing, people are becoming obsessed with the idea of, theoretically, “making” their child's traits how they would like it to be. People are in favor of this because they might have a trait they don’t want being passed down to their child and this is now a way to deal with that. However, some are against this idea because they think that it will technically make the baby cosmetic, fake or not even fully theirs. As for the laws go, if it is offered to you as a soon-to-be mother, in Minnesota you can legally do it. There aren’t many regulations as far as that goes. It is mainly what you believe to be true.
