Feeding the Brain and not Just our Stomachs

“The greatest health is your wealth” is something taught to us all growing up. Unhealthy food not only harms are body in the long run but also decreases our productivity. Providing fast food within GUST campus may seem practical and cheap to some students however, it would degrade their productivity and energy levels. GUST cannot force students to eat health, however by providing healthier options and not fast food within the campus their students are likely to be healthier, better at academics and are provided an opportunity to express themselves to their best potentials.

Serving fast food within the campus would make students sick more often and therefore miss more classes and lag on their work. Fast food is worldwide known to be greasy, unhealthy and doesn’t provide the necessary nutrition for young growing adults. Furthermore, if they aren’t served with the necessary nutrition they are more likely prone to falling sick. One child falling sick usually leads to an epidemic with half of GUST sick. This not only leads students to missing classes but also lagging in terms of their work or even failing a course due to absences. …show more content…

Healthy food healthy students to stay active, awake and productive during their day at GUST, however if fast food would be served they would be dull and sleepy. The brain of a young adult is like a sponge when they are charged and proactive, ready to soak in new information which is what makes studying easier for them compared to aging adults. Yet when they eat fast food they are like rocks solid and too bored to but in effort to absorb anything. Serving healthy food within the campus will not guarantee that all students eat healthy, it would at least increase them in number. This will allow better productivity along with better quality of work from each student to show their best
