Fossil Fuels are not an everlasting solution to the world’s power crisis. We lack the ability and resources to continue to rely on fossil fuels for an everlasting solution. As a community we need to come together and develop a solution to transition the energy load towards alternative fuel sources. We need to use multiple fuel sources to create a plan that relies on renewable fuel sources to remove the majority of the power load off fossil fuels. Despite the low prices of Fossil Fuels the world is continuing towards higher usage of renewable energy. “Installations of wind turbines and solar panels soared in 2015 as utility companies went on a worldwide building binge, taking advantage of falling prices for clean technology as well as an improving regulatory and investment climate” (Warrick.) That shows regardless of how much availability of fossil fuels we have right now the world realizes that it is not enough to last us forever. With the world trending towards higher usage of renewable energy our likelihood of becoming independent of fossil fuels is becoming more of a reality rather than dependent of it. …show more content…
It has become more and more realistic that we could reach our goal. Eva Botkin-Kowacki claims that “New research suggests it might actually be feasible to use solar and wind power across the United States. In fact, researchers propose a new model that could cut emissions by up to 80 percent by 2030 from 1990 levels, without developing new technologies or raising prices.” With this new breakthrough, the argument claiming alternative fuel choices are too pricy, has become almost completely obsolete. It is time we revisit using alternative fuel choices on a mass
