Love, stability, patience, and quality time are the aspects that children need, and same-sex couples can provide that for them. However, the reality is that children make fun of other children for all kinds of reasons. Children in foster care and orphanages also face abuse from their peers for not having parents. The difference is that adoptive children will have the support of a family to get through these difficult times. Raising children is a challenging responsibility, and it requires courage, patience, love, and commitment, and lesbian and gay parents have shown they are capable of this.
