Legalizing medical marijuana is a heavily debated topic; if it is legalized, medical risk would increase, the government would have a hard time controlling the dispensers of medical marijuana, and it contains harmful chemicals. Marijuana is a drug and it is harmful to every age of people, so why would we want to use it as medicine? Yes it can help a select few sicknesses but the side effects are way worse than the actual sickness.

Medical risks will increase dramatically. Medical marijuana is smoked and smoking is harmful by itself, and it is releases even more harmful chemicals. The harmful chemicals and carcinogens that are byproducts of smoking create entirely new health problems. Marijuana's side effects cause dysphoria, tachycardia, motor and coordination impairment, and introduction of contaminants these are just a few side effects of the extremely harmful drug that they are trying to make into a medicine. Marijuana is illegal because it is a extremely harmful drug it can cause mental illness and even cancer. Since it loses coordination then your driving will be extremely impaired and there will be so many more accidents on the roads. Getting drugs across the border will be so much easier they could just walk across with millions of dollars worth of drugs. The borders will have to slacken up with the drugs because they will have to let some through if it is medicine. So it would be easy to fake documents and walk through the border with marijuana. When they get it across the border they will still sell it for their profit. The illegal drug activity could even rise because it would be easier to smuggle across and get away with it. Marijuana would also become way cheaper and would be running rampant all over the
