Cannabis: A Cure for America, A Cure for the World One of the biggest and most talked about problem we have in America is that marijuana is illegal. Marijuana could bring so many good things to America it seems like the list is never ending, It could medicate cancer patients so they don't have to use narcotics to ease their pain. There are even studies that show marijuana kills cancer cells. Marijuana could also create resources like plastics and textiles. If marijuana were legalized people with serious illnesses and diseases like cancer would be able to manage their pain without the side affects of harsh narcotics. Why continue the war on drugs which is already draining tax payers money? We all know that no matter how hard we try to stop the illegal sale of marijuana, it’s going to continue. If people want to smoke marijuana they're going to get their hands on it somehow. The higher the stakes are for moving the marijuana the more money the drug cartels are going to make. If we could rally together and legalize marijuana all that black market money could be pouring into bettering our schools, helping the US get out of its debt, and bettering the US as a whole. If the US were to legalize marijuana there would be a lot more tourism in the US. Since Colorado has recreationally legalized marijuana there has been a boom in tourism. By looking at Amsterdam we know that people like to travel to places that have legalized marijuana. The market for tourism could bring big bucks to the US. We could open marijuana “bars” and coffee shops to increase the amount of money spent on marijuana which will bring in more tax dollars, create jobs, and promote the growth and establishment of small
