High school start a time that us unwise for teens to be awake. Most high doh schools start at an average of 7:59 in the morning. Students under these circumstances have to be at their bus stop by 6:30-7:00. The students school day technically starts at 6:30. The previous time that students have to get up to get ready for school.

The article “Let Them Sleep? Later School Start Times Improve Graduation and Attendance Rates” states that, “A new study by Pamela McKeever of Central Connecticut State University and her colleague Linda Clark found that delaying high school start times to 8:30 a.m. and later significantly improved graduation and attendance rates.” (Malatesa) If high school students show up to school more often when school starts later, that why should we not change the time. The students will show up more often which means that students grades will go up. Which also means that there will be more students graduating.
There are many teens who suffer from depression. So why not get rid of one of the causes. Teens who do not get the right amount of sleep are likely to have depression. The article “The Impact of School Start Times on Adolescent Health and Academic Performance” states
