Since tobacco has been introduced to other continents from the Americas in the 16th century, tobacco has become widespread in the world. With the progress of relevant scientific research and the increasing publication of scientific papers on the harm of tobacco, the harm caused by tobacco to public health has gradually become known.
Cigarette smoking is the most popular method of consuming tobacco (“Wikipedia”, n.d.). According to the World Health Organization (2017), there are more than one billion smokers in the world. More than seven million people were killed by tobacco. There are six million of those people died of direct smoking and the others were killed by second-hand smoke. The brain to release adrenaline caused by nicotine, adrenaline make people feel excitement. The excitement will quickly disappear. When the smoker wants the excitement again, that feeling will cause smoker use more and more product of tobacco. After the smoker repeat use of tobacco, there is ardent desire which is difficult to control the use, adhere to the use of tobacco and regardless Its harmful consequences for tobacco. The use of tobacco takes precedence over other activities. The problem of smoking should be look like the drug of abuse. According to the figures from Public Health England (2016), there is only 13.6% success rate of quit smoking in UK.
