People come to zoos to see animals in person. Visitors want to see animals that are not just in photographs. There isn’t necessarily a scientific purpose for people visiting zoos. In the article “Zoos: Animal Prisons” it concludes, “Study after study has shown that most zoo visitors only spend a few minutes—sometimes just seconds—at each display and walk away having learned little or nothing about the animals” (1). Animals in zoos are used to satisfy and entertain visitors.
Animals at zoos are regularly sold, bought, traded or borrowed. Many people at zoos through stuff at these animals or poke them to make the animals mad. Zoos are holding endangered species primarily as a tourist attraction. When you go into a zoo you can sometime see some animals look unhappy. Many animals don't like the bright flash of light when people are taking pictures of these animals.

You are separated from your loved ones, leaving your mother in severe pain and grief. You are taken somewhere unknown, imprisoned in a cell where people come watch you for their own entertainment.
I think that zoos should not be allowed because they need the freedom to roam around without boundaries of zoo walls. Animals in captivity may live longer but they have the lack of the quality of life, don 't get their natural instincts to hunt, and may not have the right care that they need to be able to live a happy and healthy life. The animals in captivity may live longer but live an unhappy life due to lack of freedom due to zoo walls and other animals. According to Petakids.com “In the wild, elephants walk up to 30 miles each day, bears are active for up to 18 hours a day exploring their home ranges for up to hundreds of miles, and tigers and lions love running and climbing and will roam many miles to hunt.” This being said animals in captivity don 't live up to how they 're supposed to act and don 't let animals run free for miles and miles and zoos prevent animals from doing this.

It is amazing how something as simple as a text message can drastically affect someone’s entire life. Texting while driving is an extremely dangerous act because it takes the driver’s attention away from the road. In attempt the minimize the accidents different states created different laws to ban texting and driving. Kansas is one of the 46 states that created a texting and driving law.
This argument is split into three main viewpoints, the opinion that zoos harm animals, the opinion that zoos save endangered species, and a mix between the two. Viewpoint number three is more of a critique how zoos are good places where bad things happen and should be reformed. Each option has its own individual pros and cons but a reform of zoos and their standards would be the most economical for zoos and aquariums and this method would also be the least harmful and less stressful for the animals involved. The care and wellbeing of the animals involved should be the number one priority of all groups and by cutting back on over breeding, the phasing out of lager animals that naturally roam large distances, and creating environments that’s sole purpose is to educate people, zoos can become a better place for people and animals

Would you rather be alone or with other people? Wouldn't you rather get free food or have to rome the wild endlessly for food? Wouldn't you rather have a low chance of getting hurt or having a really high chance? These are some of the benefits that zoos provide to animals. This is why I feel that animals need to be in zoos for their well being.
But that is not the actual purpose of the zoo and it is rare to see those types of zoos. All in all, with the continuing global threats to the atmosphere it is hard for individuals to visualize zoos as something apart from being essential to the long-term survival of various species. Not just in terms of protecting them and breeding them for reintroduction, but to learn regarding them to assist those still within the wild, as well as to educate and inform the general public about these animals and their world: to pique their interest so they will assist or at least accept the necessity to be more environmentally aware. Sure there are many possibilities for improvement, but these benefits are essential to several species and potentially at least. Without zoos, the world would be a much poorer place.
Zoos have always been something that families love and kids look forward to going to. Kids learn about the animals and the habitats and enjoy the entertainment. For many people as well, the experience of being close to these animals has more impact than simply reading about them. This experience often gives them sympathy for animals that they may
