Argumentative Paper Zoos and aquariums have been around since the times of the Romans and the Egyptians. Although the zoos and aquariums have adapted since those times, they still have the same concept behind them. Although zoos and aquariums have been around for ages, over the decades, controversy about these two places have grown. Although most people don’t think anything of it, there is a huge debate as to whether zoos and aquariums are acceptable or not. This topic can be very touchy to some people and can sometimes cause disputes.
“The animals of this world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for whites” - Alice Walker. Some of the animals that you see in zoos are not always born in captivity. They can be taken right out of the wild as well. Although zoos are fun to visit, animals should not be held in captivity because the breed can become overpopulated, they do not know how to survive on their own, and they are being abused.
Zoos Should Be Banned Imagine you are five years old, someone breaks into your home, kills your aunt and possibly your older brother in the process of kidnapping you. You are separated from your loved ones, leaving your mother in severe pain and grief. You are taken somewhere unknown, imprisoned in a cell where people come watch you for their own entertainment.
Why we should keep zoos Have you ever went to the zoo and seen the zookeeper taking care of the animals? Zoos should be kept so that the lives of the animals don’t get harmed. The Zoo Debate is about how everyone feels about zoos. People debate to find out whether or not we should keep zoos or have them destroyed. The endangered animals can breed and make more of that species.
Zoos and can be places where the imagination and creativity of people, especially children, can come alive and inspire them to tread avenues that they never expected they would take. In the early years of my childhood, I spent many hours observing and studying wild animal exhibits in zoos in Seattle Washington. I would imagine myself in my dream world as zoo keeper or a veterinarian helping animals and knowing them each by name. As I studied and let my imagination run free; I knew that someday, somehow, I would be involved in the care of animals. Without the establishment of zoos and, I would have never realized my dreams and perused a career in biology and animal care.
According to Thought Co, there are 1.5 million American families that are currently wanting and waiting to adopt a child (Lowen). The United States of America should abolish Roe vs Wade. There are thousands of women in the United States who have real medical issues and can not physically get pregnant. Abortion is murder of an unborn child, which is unconstitutional therefore it should not be legal. Doctors supply women with birth control shots and pills to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
A matter of considerable debate is animal rights, and whether zoo should be banned or encouraged, with numerous people claiming that zoos play the constructive role in the preservation of animals. However, I do not entirely accept this statement, will explain why in this essay. There are myriad of reasons to ban zoos, but the most conspicuous one is that zoos restrict the natural behavior of animals such as swimming, running, hunting, flying and like. This kind of captivity affects their mental and physical development, which can be seen in the form of negative and self-destructive behaviors. Addition to this, zoos do not provide them their natural habitat.
Zoos are Advancing Zoos over the years have improved a lot from what they used to be. They are caring more and value happiness of animals more instead of people. So I’m going to compare the three articles The Stripes Will Survive, The Zoos Go Wild and Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment how they handle the animals. These are three articles that explain the way that modern zoos are trying to protect animals, going extinct or not.
Isn't the zoo fun? There should be a trip to the zoo in all elementary grades because the zoo is educational, too. ClearingMagazine said that animals are living things and we learn about that kind of stuff. 5th and 4th graders learn about body systems, this could help with learning the animal body systems. 3rd and 2nd graders learn to figure height and weight.
You have to read my strongly recommended facts to see how marvelous my facts are. Even though animals don’t have all the space like in the wild they have big areas that are just right for them. Also people are changing habitats so animals might feel threatened by the new change of their habitat. One last thing is people are using land for plants which is a
Zoos have been around for thousand of years and is an enjoyable place for human beings. Research shows that zoos are shortening animals lives, but others strongly contradict the benefits of them. Although zoos might give people positive impacts or strong connections with nature, animals shouldn’t be forced to live in captivity. Zoos are hurting animals lives, and humans are not caring for them and don’t understand how hard it is affecting the animals. Zoos break the animals and their families apart.
But that is not the actual purpose of the zoo and it is rare to see those types of zoos. All in all, with the continuing global threats to the atmosphere it is hard for individuals to visualize zoos as something apart from being essential to the long-term survival of various species. Not just in terms of protecting them and breeding them for reintroduction, but to learn regarding them to assist those still within the wild, as well as to educate and inform the general public about these animals and their world: to pique their interest so they will assist or at least accept the necessity to be more environmentally aware. Sure there are many possibilities for improvement, but these benefits are essential to several species and potentially at least. Without zoos, the world would be a much poorer place.
Zoos have always been something that families love and kids look forward to going to. Kids learn about the animals and the habitats and enjoy the entertainment. It is a great experience for people, but not for the animals. Zoos are downright cruel to Animals. Animals our forced to live in an unreal stressful, and boring conditions.
Imagine you are taken from your home, mother, and environment to a small cage where everybody is looking at you, taking pictures, and having fun. Your owners sell you to a bad zoo where all animals only get food sometimes and the bare cages are cold because you’re getting too expensive to feed and even take care of. This is why I take the position that zoos should be banned because they can cause Animal cruelty, Too expensive, and finding new homes. Say no to zoos!
