Although some people believe Father Flynn is innocent, I have reason to believe that Father Flynn is guilty. In the parable Doubt, Flynn is the priest and a gym teacher who is accused of abusing boys in the Nicholas school. The Principle thinks Flynn has abused Donald Muller, the only black boy in the school, and possibly William London. I believe he is guilty because of his interactions with the boys, how defensive Flynn acts when he is accused, and then explain a counterclaim of his guiltiness. One reason I believe he is guilty is the way he interacts with William London and Donald Muller.
(500 words minimum) As a secondary teacher, I am committed to continuously reviewing and improving my practice to ensure that it is inclusive, responsive, and meets the diverse needs of all my students. I aim to critically reflect on the effectiveness of my planning, delivery, and assessment strategies regularly, taking into account the views of learners and other relevant staff. Effective planning is the cornerstone of successful teaching and learning. I believe that thorough planning not only sets the stage for engaging lessons, but also facilitates effective delivery and assessment. In my practice, I prioritise understanding the individual needs of my learners and designing a scheme of work that caters to these diverse needs.

JoAnn Kocis, “At Lincoln Elementary School we are committed to developing students who can successfully read, write, and problem solve”, this will be portrayed in this PD as well as through the implementation of it. In fact, teachers will not only discuss how to implement the strategies delivered through the PD, but they will be given the opportunity to work in collaboration through the implementation of those strategies in lesson plans to be utilized in their own classrooms. This PD will be creating better opportunities for all; teachers will be learning how to enhance learned strategies into their lesson delivery through meaningful text based classroom discussion, while students will be given the opportunity to learn from discussion, to buildup learning through someone else’s reaction while promoting oral interaction among all students. Thematic Introduction This week’s theme is “My Role is About Their Future.” I believe that this theme is important for EC-6th grade teachers to understand because this theme encompasses what it means to be a teacher. To me, teaching is all about helping the doctors, lawyers, teachers, therapists, etcetera of the future. This theme also means that teachers need to focus on teaching the “whole child” and not just a part of a child. It means that teachers must teach their students content knowledge as well as morals.
Overall, this essay has highlighted key pedagogic principles that I have used successfully to promote learning. When considering what pedagogic principles were effective, I had to consider all aspects of primary teaching under the Teacher’s Standards (2011A), for me in particular, these were subject knowledge, planning, assessment and the learning environment. I have considered subject knowledge as what a teacher knows will impact the learning of pupils. To think about strategic outcomes and using assessments when planning has also helped me structure the way I have planned lessons and tracked learning. I also introduced personalised methods of learning to promote inclusion and engagement in the classroom.
My educational philosophy has been in development for 15 years. It is a product of my own experiences in school, as well as my opinions on what skills should be taught, and to what extent different components of the child should be developed. The academic, social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children can be heavily influenced in PreK and kindergarten classrooms. It is dependent on the teacher to conduct their classroom in a manner that successfully facilitates the development of each child’s faculties. As a future teacher, it is critical that I enter the classroom with a clear philosophy in regards to how I believe education should be conducted.
Personal Learning Philosophy Children are unique individuals deserving respect, a quality education, a positive educational environment, caring and nurturing teachers, quality teacher-student relationships allowing open discussions as well as positive parent-teacher partnerships aimed at aiding the child’s learning. In kindergarten, I discovered the impact teachers and schools have on youth and realized my purpose in life. My practice shall provide positive learning environments, meaningful learning opportunities, open and positive professional relationships with students to create a full impact students’ learning as I will help set the foundation for their learning and development from childhood into adulthood. Providing all that children

Teaching philosophy is described by Sadker and Sadker as, “Behind every school and every teacher is a set of related beliefs - a philosophy of education – that influences what and how students are taught. A philosophy of education represents answers to questions about the purpose of schooling, a teacher’s role and what should be taught and by what methods.” (Teacher, Schools and Society. 2005). With this definition in consideration, my teaching philosophy is “I believe that children learn best when they are given the chance to choose, discuss and explore what they want to learn, when they want to learn and how they want to learn.
