“Not one has shown an iota of fear of death. They want to end this agony.” That was said by Dr. Jack Kevorkian. Dr. Kevorkian spent his life researching euthanasia which is “the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma.” Physician-assisted death is pretty similar, but the difference is who actually performs the act of killing the patient. People who want to perform PAD are hospital patients who have a terminal illness. Sadly, in 54 states, those patients are not able to make the decision themselves. So, Physician-assisted suicide should be legalized in Wisconsin because it will help the patient stop suffering, allow the patient to have more quality time with family before their death, and that there can be possible organ donation.

Initially, Organ donation can benefit others. If the patient is an organ donor and they still have some healthy organs, they are able to donate their organs. There are a lot of people in need of organs and the patient is able to help someone else in their time of pain. Second of all, there can be a positive in a time of tragedy. The family of the patient will know that through this tragedy, there is a positive. Helping someone else live their life is amazing, and it means a lot to those in need. Finally, organ donation will help save someone else’s life. Even though the patient is losing their life, they can help someone else live theirs. The organs of someone with a terminal illness has potential to save the lives of up to as many as eight people. With eye and tissue donations, they can help as many as 50
