There is a great deal of detail on her face, Picasso’s unique choice using fluorescent colours such as green, yellow and pink to build shade and create her features bring attention and focus on her face.
Her clothing is also highlighted upon, displaying richness and royalty, the use of strong and outstanding colours such as bands of red, dark purple, plumes of green and embracing patterns somehow enhance her appearance showing no boundaries or limitations.
The figure is also wearing a large hat full of colour and accessories that extend outwards. In addition to her outfit the hat signifies a symbol of wealth.
Moreover, the figure’s posture, although depicted in planes is connected perfectly to display a decent seated position, her arms extended onto the armrests, her shoulders are inline with the back of the chair and her head is perfectly positioned showing that she is ruling the space like a queen or goddess.
Although her face is vibrant it displays a muted expression. Combining her clothes, face, posture and long sharp nails we get a touch of her
