The name of my book is The Ghost of Fossil Glen by Cynthia Defelice it was published on March 25, 1998. Cynthia Defelice wrote the book because as a child her mother read to her and that’s when she started loving books but it wasn't until she was 36 that she decided she wanted books for children. Other than being a writer she also owns a farm with her husband who is retired and she want to improve her farm. Defelice has written 16 novel and 12 picture books for young readers three of her books are The Ghost of Cutler Creek,Fort, and Wild Life. In the beginning of the story the setting is on a cliff in Fossil Glen and moves on to her school and her home.
To begin, Whirligig by Paul Fleischman tells the story of Brent. He ends up killing a young girl named Lea. He has to deal with the consequence of his actions throughout the book. In addition, Whirligig has a strong theme, of everything happens for a reason, that is present throughout the story. First of all, after Lea’s death, her parents asked Brent to make Whirligigs to help keep her spirit alive.
Saide wasn’t delighted there, however she soon eased herself to the town and their friendly citizens. She learned that she had the ability to communicate with the town crows in an area which she calls her ‘secret place’, the crows had given Saide a mission to bring justice to a lost soul, the ‘clever man’ who was unable to ‘rest’. She soon discovered the event of the Boorts past, that a mystery murder occurred in 1930’s but before justice could have been served the valley was flooded and the evidence was washed away. Lois Simmie, born June 11, 1932 in Edam Saskatchewan is an acclaimed author who specializes in children 's literature, brings forth a tale of love, betrayl and murder. Lois spent time teaching in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and many factual points are made throughout this biographical murder mystery. Lois paints a picture of a man with good intentions who unveils himself through his heinus acts. She sheds light on Polly 's story and shares her background and life events in an effort to haomage to who Polly Hutchison was as a wife, mother , and woman in love. Through Jack and Polly 's story Lois also captures her reader by sharing the history of the RCMP and the evolution of detective work as well.

Lizzie Borden, who lived in Fall River MA, was a suspect for the double axe murder of her two parents, Andrew and Abby Borden. No one knows for sure whether it was Lizzie, or a mystery murderer who had killed Andrew and Abby. The Lizzie Borden House is believed to be haunted by the victims of two separate murders taken in that house, but there may be another explanation for the “paranormal” events that have taken place there.

“The Scarlet Ibis” Literary Analysis Essay As the protagonist unfolds his tale, he paints a picture of himself initially as a malevolent force, planning the smothering death of his crippled brother, to a bully, force-teaching Doodle to walk to satisfy his own ends, and finally a neglectful older brother whose acts lead to Doodle’s demise. It is the central event of his brother’s death that gives full meaning to the title, “The Scarlet Ibis.” In this short story by James Hurst, the author conveys the Narrator’s guilt over Doodle’s life and, more importantly, his death.

It also tells about the lost gothic girl, Anna Cayne, who meets the young high-school aged narrator. Throughout the postcards, a shortwave radio, various CDs, and many other irregular interest.

We can not suppress or change who we are or where we came from and must except ourselves. The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros introduces the main character Esperanza, who is initially ashamed and tries to repress parts of her identity. One of the main themes in The House on Mango Street is E. acknowledging her name and mango street as part of her self identity.
The book, Ghost, by Jason Reynolds is a story about a boy named Castle, but is called Ghost. Castle has a very rough life because his father is imprisoned and his mother struggles with finances. Castle is a misbehaved kid who struggles in school and makes a track team which motivates him to be good in school. Track played ended up playing a huge role in his life and went through the ups and downs with him. Track taught him respect and discipline which spread throughout his home.
