I have learned so much since I have started this program. I believe that I have improved greatly and will continue to improve as a scholarly writer in the doctoral program, and it aligns with the scholar-practitioner model required by Capella. The key for factor for me is to stay focused, motivated, and energetic. Thus, the scholar-practitioner model will help to become a competent writer as a doctoral student.
Hello Dr. Whalen and class, The scientist-practitioner model of practice and applied behavior analysis share some of the same commonalities. The scientist-practitioner model and ABA both have foundations that psychologists engage in psychological theory, field work, and research mythology (LeJeune & Luoma, 2015). The scientist-practitioner model urges therapist to use empirical research that influences their ABA. Therefore, this will allow therapist to continue advancing and improving the ABA field (Furthermore, they both share commonalities when it comes to identifying behaviors (dependent variables), experimental manipulation (independent variables), and evaluating treatment effectiveness.

All programs that are implemented purposes are to maximize opportunities and assist with the young people attaining the five basic senses; a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness, a sense of belonging, a sense of power and influence. As for Capella's scholar-practitioner learning model, learners acquire additional research skills, apply appropriate theory and research strategies, and share knowledge through scholarly publications and presentations (Capella University, 2003). When one looks deeper within both models, they get to view the many similarities that each hold to one another. Both reflect on how theory and research influence professionals to strive and succeed within their work. Active experiment is the process by which an individual analyses and studies focusing on a specific topic and drawing up to a certain conclusion depending on what he or she has discovered. Passive observation is not as productive as active experiment because it is only the act of observing something happening without actually analysing and studying it deeply.
