REVIEWING YOUR CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN

When to use:
This solution can be used at any point in the year to help teachers reflect on how effective their management plan is and how successfully they are implementing it. It would be particularly helpful towards the beginning/middle of the year so that teachers have time to adjust their plan as necessary and implement the changes soon enough to have an impact on their classrooms.

7. Is your incentive system simple for you and your students to manage?

STOP: Look at the responses to the questions above. Are there any incentives you need to change/revise in your management plan? Use the criteria for effective incentives to make any needed revisions.

♣ Designed to reinforce the expectations you have set for your students
♣ Clear and concrete, just like your expectations, so that students know what you expect of them.
♣ Simple so that they are easy for students to follow.

Use the following questions to determine if the expectations in your management plan meet the criteria above and revise as necessary.

1. How do your procedures and routines reinforce the classroom expectations?

2. How did you keep your procedures simple so that you and students follow them?

3. Are your procedures concrete? Do students know what they are?

4. How does the arrangement of your classroom help/hinder your
