Gun control tends to be a very controversial topic in the United States. In fact, it has been in the public domain since the time immemorial. In my opinion, it is necessary to execute gun control not only in the United States but also I all countries in the globe. This would ensure that peace and tranquility of the country is guaranteed.
The first reason advocate for the gun control in the United States is that would ensure that our peace in the cities and towns is not at stake. In the event that there is no gun control, we would experience unnecessary loss of lives. Many people would resort to violence in a bid to sort out conflicts. If laws that are strict are passed concerning the handling and possession of guns, many deaths will be prevented.The laws would ensure that a background check is done on a person before he opted she could acquire a gun. This checks should also include medical. By doing this, only people who are fit and sound to possess guns would be allowed to do so.This would greatly reduce the risks that are always occasioned by guns being in the wrong hands.
Another reason I am pro-gun control in our country has to do with mentally challenged persons. Cases of mentally unstable persons are rising at an alarming rate in the United States. If gun control is not introduced, it means that this group of people might have access to guns. They might then use this guns to cause havoc in our cities and residential areas since they are not in control of their mental faculties.
Gun control should be exercised so as to prevent the rising cases of homicides. Apparently, many people are having access to the gun thanks to the lack of the elaborate mechanism of gun control. They are then using the guns to commit murder in their homes in the event of a conflict. This means that more guns in the hands of many people breeds the culture of intolerance amongst the
