Project 1 And 2 Greatly Assisted My Work

757 Words4 Pages

The skills that were developed in Projects 1 and 2 greatly assisted my work in Project 3. For instance, the work-back schedule served as a valuable practice and time management tool. From completing a task one week ahead of schedule in Project 1, to completing a task one day before the deadline in Project 2, the work-back schedule in Project 3 was adjusted to accommodate a new variable; group work. In my opinion, the most challenging task was the infographic draft of Project 2. A total of three drafts were created before it was approved. Unfortunately, the first draft was a complete mess. I received a ton of feedback regarding improvements. The second draft was substantially different from the first, but was still lacking some key elements. Finally, the third draft was deemed satisfactory, but still required some editing. This took nearly two weeks of back and forth messaging with the client, revising, and developing the infographic. The following task of requesting information from a client helped me develop a professional format for messaging business partners, colleagues, etc. Writing persuasively will prove to be beneficial in circumstances where convincing another is required. Additionally, writing about negative news for the task of informing the vendors who were not selected served as great practice for future occurrences. Project 2 taught me that others may send work back and request more if they are not satisfied. It also taught me that this should not be taken personally. This specifically resonates with myself because of past negative reactions to criticism. I now believe that constructive criticism is essential to one’s growth. Project 3 involved a great deal of group work. Initially, I was not fond of this because of past experiences with mediocre groups. However, I soon came to realise the possibilities of an effective team. Work could be completed quickly and revisions made by multiple members to ensure accuracy. More importantly, I was able to meet amazing people who assisted one another in the completion of the project. Indeed, the aspect of group work will benefit my future studies and whichever
