Our world uses both nonrenewable and renewable sources. Coal is one of the most important non-renewable sources, because it generates 41% of the world's electricity. We also use coal in steel production, manufacturing and to generate electricity. 33% of America's electricity was generated by coal in 2015 (eia.gov 2015) and that means that coal is very important to the world, we need it to generate electricity. But coal is a non-renewable source and that means we cannot rely on it because we it is done then it will take millions of years to form again. It is estimated that we have 118 years of coal left to use. But if the world population keeps increasing and there is a higher demand for coal then we will only be left with 23 years until we …show more content…
