The date is 2050 May, 12th. The space shuttle to colonize Mars is taking off today. Humans are looking to settle a colony on Mars, people say " The next leap for mankind". Many scientists believe it wouldn't be smart to try to colonize Mars. The reasons for why we should leave for Mars are the advance in technology, the population count, and the lack of resources on Earth. This is why Humans in the future should colonize Mars for the good of human kind.

The first reason for why we should colonize Mars is the amount of humans we have living on Earth. The current population of humans on Earth is 7.2 billion(world meter). Scientists predict that by 2025 the population will be about 8-10 billion(Wiki). If people don't do anything about this issue then there will be many problems. Having a high amount of population can affect sanitation globally. This will lead to many illnesses that will spread which will make living conditions brutal. The consumption rate will greatly increase which means that we will use up more fossil fuels. Technology might look like a problem to some people but is one of the best reasons for why we should go to Mars. The five technological advances that are needed for this project are life support, food supply, living units, space shuttle, and space shuttle for rovers(Mars one). Nasa predicts that will take about ten years of manufacturing this technology(Nasa Gov). Many people ask is this worth the investment? If we do invest in this mighty project then we will advance in technology to adapt to Mars.
