ISIS - A terrorist group seeking revenge, they are a cult, ISIS is a caliphate, they claim religious, political and military authority over all Muslims' worldwide. They now have control over 5 countries; Syria, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon and Nigeria. Most importantly they need to be stopped. I am convinced ISIS should be stopped, but there is on whether New Zealand should join the fight. Recently a debate has emerged as to whether or not we should assist. Many peoples including myself know we must take a stand against the terrorist organization; ISIS An effective way to do so is by sending Army personnel to aid in the nullification of ISIS. It is vital to keep these relationships. By not sending troops we could become isolated in the international community which could leave us vulnerable to attack ourselves. A small country such as New Zealand cannot support a large enough army to protect itself; from a determined invasion from a larger nation. This means we need to be a part of alliances with countries who value and believe the same as us. The main part of an alliance is providing what support we can to our allies when they need it. We are being asked assist, and if we want to make sure we will have assistance at a time when we may need it, we must now offer what support we can to the effort to defeat ISIS. New Zealand has a proud history of fighting alongside our allies; against enemies who would control how we should live and who would force their belief upon others. If New Zealand wants to remain a country where we can enjoy the freedom to express ideas openly and freely, to live according to our own values, then we must stand up against those who would deny us those rights. For this reason, we must support the effort to defeat
