The legal age of driving should be raised. To start off, there are teen that can’t mentally and physically drive. Distracting objects such as cell phones, friends in the same vehicle, radio, and anything they can think of are all deadly when driving a 4,000 pound vehicle. Teens are most likely going to be involved in drugs and alcohol. All in all, the legal driving age should be raised for numerous reasons.
Should the Legal Driving age be increased in the United States In the United states the driving age is 17 but many different people have many different opinions on the question “should the driving age should be increased or decreased”. Driving is a big responsibility many people believe that driving is a start of an adult, but in society people thinks it’s a lesson of responsibility and adulthood. My Opinion is that driving should be increased to the age of 19. “The Vital area develops through the teenage years but fully develops when you turn the age 25” (Davis).
Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. I looked forward to getting my license and getting it has been a very good experience. Teens can also learn to work on their vehicles when something goes wrong, which can prepare them for the future. States should not increase the age at which teens can drive because driving gives teens more freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches teens responsibility.
Therefore, a 16-year-old who knows the rules, and can prove it in the driving test, should be able to get a license. A well-educated 16 year old driver will be way safer than a 18 year old driver that skipped
Coming from a teen that is about to get their license I think it would be ridiculous if the age was raised. The freedom that comes with driving is what we look forward to. If it is raised to 18 that is practically when we are in college with busy towns and streets, the last thing a new driver needs is stressful situations. I personally think it would cause more trouble if it got raised
Teens are not mentally prepared to drive, they are too young and immature for that. “Brains and auto safety experts fear that 16 years old, the drivers minimum age to drive in most states, are too immature to handle today's cars and roadway risks” (Davis). Driving at the age of 16 can be dangerous for teenagers. Especially because of how inexperienced and new they are to driving.
In the US the increase of vehicular accidents in young drivers (15-20) over the last few years is leading many people to consider raising the legal driving age. The teen driving age should not be raised, because learning to drive instills responsibility and gives necessary life experience to teens. teens who learned to drive at 16 do better after high school weather it be in college, military or a civilian job. In 2008 alone there was 195 fatality 's from vehicular accidents with young drivers at the wheel just in Florida. Raising the driving age goes against the first amendment, the first amendment is all about freedom and liberty including several basic liberties — freedom of religion, speech, press, petition, and assembly, driving is a way
In addition, the main reason that many people are against driving at 16 is because 16-17 year olds are the age group with the most accidents. However, what they don't know, is that the reason behind these accidents is inexperience. If the driving age were indeed raised, there would be just as many accidents. This is because 18 year olds would be inexperienced as well. The earlier teens learn to drive, the more time they have to gain
Many people believe that age doesn’t matter, it’s only the experience that does. Others say age plays a big role due to the fact that the younger the people are, the less mature they act. There are so many reasons to why the driving age should be raised. Thousands of people wonder what could be done to prevent all these tragic fatalities and between all those debates raising the legal age for driving has been the most controversial. Car accidents are reported every day.
If you raise the driving age limit, many of these teens would lose there jobs by being unable to arrive to work. When teens have careers they gain responsibility and money. Why would we want to rob them of these opportunities? These teenagers are contributing to society just as much as any adult currently is. If we raise the driving age, we would loose thousands of hard working young men and women.
I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Every thing goes best when you start young because of all the practice you've had over the years. starting at 16 can can lead some teens to good cares like: NAS car, or driving for movies. I think the age of 16 is a good place to start, because its like they say know more about the job before the interview, so that way you have a better chance of getting the job. Safety still is a problem because 16 year olds are reckless as well so its a bigger chance that more people could be in danger young teens that are behind the wheel going fast and doing what ever else they do when there alone trying to be cool for who ever.
Driving at Sixteen Driving at 16 is a right of passage steeped in tradition. For decades, teens have received their driver 's licenses at 16. While some might say this is too young and seek to raise the minimum age to 18, generations of teens have successfully managed the responsibilities of driving. The minimum driving age of 16 should not be raised because it would increase transportation problems, keep teens from fulfilling responsibilities, and prevent oversight of new drivers.
After all, it will only add to the total loss of life from the various errors performed by sixteen-year-old kids. It is unseemingly to keep something that has time and time proved itself to be appalling. It is for this reason that eighteen should be the age at which adolescents are given cars. The legal driving age should be raised to eighteen because it will keep the streets safer, drivers will be more mature, and it is foolish to oppose this indubitable truth.
As I think raising the driving age to 18 is a benefit with less harm.while not raising it will harm lives.therefore,it should be discussed. Futhermore, traffic accidents is affecting the lives of the future generation. I think raising the driving age to 18 plays a part in preventing massive car crashes. As its being found that the underage drivers are more likely to go into car accidents than adults ' 'Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults ' '.(Palicz).I assume if we raise driving age to 18 such incidents will decrease. I also believe adults are more prepared for driving than underage
When a teen is driving they are in control and they have to be aware of their surroundings. Driving has taught me how to be more responsible. A sixteen-year-old has to learn to become more responsible when driving a vehicle because if they are not being responsible then they could cause an accident or get a ticket for not obeying the laws. When I am driving I have to be responsible enough to follow the rules and not be a reckless driver. When driving I have to be aware of other drivers that may be careless, as hwy could cause me to be in an accident.
